First match in the 2008 Summer League and you would have thought it was mid-October! A strong wind an air temperature of 11°C and persistent rain made for horrible fishing conditions.
Today was supposed to be the first day of Summer, shame nobody told the weather gods!
Twenty three hardy souls fought it out today with the match starting at 10.00am and finishing at 3.00pm.
Weights were not as good as we would have liked, however the sudden drop in temperature from previous days may have been a contributory factor.
Kev Smith drew the Golden Peg for the second time in a row, but unfortunately the well known 'Curse' continues with Kev coming in equal 12th.
Well done to everyone who fished, let's hope our next match at Earlswood on 5th July is better.
Hope to see you there..
